I am writing to request approval to attend the RICHPIX™ Spatial Imagery Masterclass. This is a £3,000 investment in a specialised, 6-week intensive program designed to bridge a critical knowledge gap currently existing in our estate and asset management workflows.
While the price point is higher than standard photography courses, this is not a photography class. It is a technical integration program that addresses three specific risks our organisation currently faces:
1. Compliance and Liability (Martyn’s Law & Reg 38)
With the upcoming requirements under Martyn’s Law, our current 2D floor plans are no longer sufficient for tactical preparedness. This course teaches the "Tactical Twin" methodology, allowing us to build digital rehearsal spaces for emergency responders. It ensures our visual records meet the "Golden Thread" standards required by the Building Safety Act, providing evidentiary-grade detail that stands up to legal scrutiny.
2. Protecting Institutional Memory (PFI Handbacks & Retirement)
We are currently at risk of "knowledge drain." When our senior engineers retire, or when PFI contracts transition, we lose decades of undocumented "tribal knowledge." This training covers the Tacit Twin workflow—tagging 360° captures with audio and video notes from staff—ensuring that critical maintenance "know-how" stays within the organisation rather than walking out the door.
3. Radical Operational Efficiency
The "Smart Scan" methodology taught in this bootcamp focuses on DeepScan™ data density. By mastering metadata-rich capture (COBie-aligned), we can create a "Visual Intranet" where a technician can instantly locate a specific valve in a 5,000-image dataset from their desk. and link to our existing SharePoint repository. This will significantly reduce "blind" site visits and abortive maintenance calls, offering a clear path to ROI through saved man-hours.
What the £3,000 Investment Includes:
- 6 weeks of self-paced 4-5 hours per week of Intensive In-Person Instruction: Mastering 360 Imagery i-GUIDE, PLANIX, and PTGui for "impossible" environments (e.g., dark plant rooms/featureless corridors).
- 24 Hours of Technical Video Training: For ongoing reference and internal team upskilling. Train the trainer
- Lifetime Community Membership: Access to a network of veterans for troubleshooting hardware and software integration.
- Data Sovereignty Strategy: Guidance on navigating SaaS vs. Private Cloud to ensure our organisation owns its data forever, rather than paying perpetual "data rent."
